Global Warming: How to stop it!

Stop Global Warming, the world is getting hotter. The greenhouse effect is something that traps heat in our world. Here are some ways to help stop global warming:

Reduce the amount of energy you use:

• use LED lights
• turn off your lights when you don't need them
• close down power plants that pollute the air
• save gas and oil by using your car less and walking or biking more
• ask your government leaders to consider ways to use less nonrenewable forms of energy and more renewable forms (wind, solar)
• ask your parents to sign petitions to reduce global warming 
• stop buying so much and if you do shop, shop in second hand stores

What is global warming?

Global warming can have serious consequences to living things. Scientists predict that in the coming years summers will get hotter,winters will get colder and storms will get fiercer. Many scientists also believe that global warming is causing the ice caps in the north and south pole to slowly melt away which changes the level of water in the ocean and affects animals like polar bears and penguins, not to mention people living on coastlines all over the world!

That's one of the reasons why scientists are making such an effort to use less and less nonrenewable energy and use more and more renewable energy, which usually releases less CO2. But scientists can't do it alone!!
